Finance Project Manager
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner to federal health agencies. We are exploring the addition of an experienced Finance Project Manager who can lead implementation activities supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Finance organization realignment initiatives. This role manages the planning, execution, and coordination of finance transformation initiatives, including governance redesign, workforce modeling, and organizational restructuring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage enterprise finance transformation initiatives across VHA, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and stakeholder expectations
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, work plans, and milestone tracking to support on-time delivery
- Coordinate workforce modeling, HR classification activities, and organizational design implementation across transformation workstreams
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination across VHA Finance offices, VISNs, and program offices to drive decisions, issue resolution, and implementation progress
- Develop executive briefings, meeting readouts, and decision-support materials for leadership reviews and governance forums
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; assess implementation readiness across finance initiatives
- Support the development of governance structures and a financial oversight framework to sustain transformation outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of project management experience supporting federal financial management initiatives
- Experience supporting federal agencies or large healthcare systems; Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or Veterans Health Administration (VHA) experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of federal budgeting and financial governance, including Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes and related planning, execution, and oversight practices
- Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
- Ability to obtain a public trust
